this is a little shrinky dink bird that i made and hung in a small bird cage that i got at michaels in the dollar section.  i think that it started out yellow, but now it is purple.  he lives on top of my telly, and the breeze from the fan makes him wiggle all day.  he doesn't have a name yet, any suggestions?

new addition to the family

i would like to introduce everyone to ralph.  he is a fish, and a damn cute one.  his little tank will surely be used in creative pursuits!!  maybe his next background could be "fish and the city"....

mothers day peek

for the one and only reason that the mothers day box i sent out won't be there until wednesday, i told mom that i would post the felties that i made for her so she could at least see something that is inside the box of sheer marvelousity that i sent her for being the cats shit kind of mom.  (that was quite a run on sentence, and it rocked.)

first there are the birdz!!  nine of them all in different colors and various pose, even one with lashes!  i didn't put anything on the back of them, (safety pin, magnet, etc) so that she could customize them into what she wanted.

anyone who knows my mother will understand these felt testicles, complete with pubic hair.  i lovingly call them "felticles"

i had been putting off making monkeys because they looked difficult, but she really wanted monkeys so here they are.  i did better than i thought i would.  

and i saved the best for last......the hanging monkeys!!  i am so proud of these little guys!

in the mood to shop!!!

and not too much in the mood to craft lately.  i have been obsessed with other peoples cute stuff.  i am not sure if i am allowed to just link them in here for you to see, but i am going to anyway.  these are sites that i look at frequently for inspiration and motivation.  it's just not working right now....i want to buy THEIR stuff instead, lol.

this next one isn't so much for the cuteness factor....it is jewelry.  but it is a-mazing!!  her name is solange azagury partridge and just her creativity and design are enough to make me drool.  she also created the wedding ring of my dreams, a whopping 3 carats!!  (see below)

and the last one for the day is Super Cute Kawaii!!  i love this site, this person/people/whatever, are just as obsessed as me with the cute stuff, they just have the money to buy it.

starting to feel a little skully......

these are some cute little skulls that i stitched out of felt, shocker...lol.  i like them.  i want to try and make some more that look a little more like sugar skulls.  i will have more to post next week when mom gets her mothers day box!  i made lots of cute things to put in there, but if i post it now i am sure that she will peek.  i will try and make something fun this week, but honestly, i have been in a bit of a lull.  

finishing touches on an older project

this is a french memo board that i made from a big old picture frame and canvas that my grandmother used to hang jewelry on.  i sprayed the frame (purple, of course), and covered the canvas with some cotton batting and pretty fabric.  then i stapled them to the back, and added the criss cross ribbons.  that is how the project sat for a while, and it was nice.  however, the pictures kept sliding down because the ribbon wasn't taut enough.  so i got some little square brads and this nifty little brad tool to punch through the layers with.  now it looks great and holds the pictures in place.

i have not blogged in a bit, but that is not to say that i have not been hard at work.....  it is just that most of it is going into a "mothers day extravaganza box", and since she looks at my little bloggie, i can't post them yet.  after she receives them, i will get them up.  

for now, a little easter art.  these little tiny chocolate bunnies came 42 to a bag, and the bag was about half the size of a m&m bag.  they were cute and delicious.  

the idea board

this dry erase board hangs on the wall right next to my couch, so that i can jot down ideas at any time.  and also so that i can stare at them while i formulate my plans and trips to the craft store.  it needed a little decoration, and well, i think we all know that i love bunnies.  

they don't have names right now, but one day they might....

and we're back

the camera came, and it is even more beautiful than the snippet i posted the other day.  it is so purple, i am loving it!!  so, back to the crafting....  this is a little pink kitty that i made, i know that it is really simple, but i love it.  and it is the first time that i had sewn a flat bottom onto something, it wasn't as hard as i thought it would be.  there is no scale for her size, but she is about 3 inches tall.  

her name is yuki (pronounced yooki)

so i have not been blogging the past few days because i have no camera, i had been borrowing cameras up until now.  take a look at the pretty camera i ordered today so i can continue to blog!!

last night was uber-productive

i made six adorable felties last night, and i only stopped because homework needed to be done, and my hand was throbbing.  i am going to start making some more with bodies, but the heads are made to be pins, magnets, and such.  and they are just so freaking cute.
