last night was uber-productive

i made six adorable felties last night, and i only stopped because homework needed to be done, and my hand was throbbing.  i am going to start making some more with bodies, but the heads are made to be pins, magnets, and such.  and they are just so freaking cute.

this is cricket (i know it's a frog)

and robere

and sami.

i also made three little birds.  eenie, meenie, and miney.

don't tell her i said so, but lashcar is my least favorite of the three...

cute overload

someplace, somewhere, there must be some type of special 'driven insane by cute stuff' ward for people like me.  people who are so enamored with cute things that the words they type no longer make sense all the time.  just look....see if it happens to you too.

meet hadley.  the apple sweet enough to eat, but too cute to cut.

so this shot is a photography nightmare

but these little monster page clips are so fucking cute that i can't even manage to separate them for use.

moments of reflection.................lalalalaaaa

i made this bunnie quite a while ago, when i got my first aranzi book.  he was bright white when he was 'born', now he is a little gray.  i think it makes him look a somewhat dignified.  at first he was just meant to be a plain old bunnie.  then after his mouth was done he just looked so darn serious.  so i named him solemn bunnie.
a short time later, solemn bunnie started having some eye trouble when reading his books of serious things long ago, so i made him some spectacles.
he can see much better, and now prefers to be called "smarty bunnie"

droolie dollie

since going back to work as a barista, i have noticed that this is what my customers are starting to look like....
this is dollie.

i secretly want to marry aranzi aronzo.....

oops....not a secret anymore.  sorry to the man who invented french fries, my heart now belongs to another.  look at all the cute things he comes up with for me!!

i am pleased to introduce to you:
peknee (penny)

and roland.

score!!

i stopped at the only used bookstore in town that i know of on the way to work, and of course meandered over to the craft section first.  and look what almost jumped off the shelf and flung itself into my arms!!

i am not sure what that strange vertical stripe is on the right side of the pics, it isn't on the actual book, and i don't think it is my scanner....anyway.  these books have much larger patterns, and directions for other kinds of appliques and such.  they are $14.95 each, and i got them for $6.95 each, score!!

feltie scraps

just thought that they looked pretty all chopped up and mushed around.  the scraps that is, not the felties....

the cute books!!

i thought that i would show you the cute book and the cuter book that i am so obsessed with right now.

adora-turtle

not quite as tiny as my elepahnteenie, but still very cute.  not much to say about him.  he just hangs out, all mellow like.

teensy tiny

this little tiny guy took some serious scissor work.  his eyeballs are so teeny that i couldn't cut out pupils small enough, so i dotted a little black acrylic on with a toothpick.  the book (the cuter book) calls for googly eyes, but i don't currently have any that tiny.  there are lots of these in the book, i am sure that i will make more and i will equip them with googly eyes.  but for not, enjoy this wee little elephanteenie.  (not to be confused with an 'elephantini'....ewww)

to appreciate his true teensiness, i had to show you a comparison.

soooooooooo cute

so i got another book by aranzi aronzo called "the cuter book".  omg, i love it.  it is just as the title promised.  even cuter than the first one, "the cute book".  i will be making many more felties from this little book, but for now i give you ha ha bunny.  it doesn't get cuter than this.....

randomness

i have discovered that i love stitching on canvas.  that is really all this is.  in the normal rainbow color scheme that has become my m.o., i just randomly backstitched from one side to the other.  i would have liked to have gone closer to the edge but the frame on the canvas doesn't allow for that.  so instead, i backstitched black around the inside edge of the frame and painted the outside canvas with a little black acrylic.  i really enjoyed this one, and it only took a couple of hours.  i will be experimenting with this more.
shocker...the photo is askew.  but that isn't the point here.
a close-up of some stitchery.

kitty kat

a little feltie kat.  her eyes are a little squirrely, but her lashes are cute.

puppy fun

i am watching this tiny little poodle for the next couple of days, and i took advantage of that last night in the name of crafting.  i made almost all of the little hats.  daisy was not hurt in this process, maybe a little embarrassed, but not hurt. she is such a good, tolerant little doggie.
simplicity in a little pink frilled headband.
adorable little mouse ears.

daisy a la france!!  does she look like she is winking to you too??

thursday night crafting!!

with stacey!!!!  so much fun, we crafted from 5:00 until almost midnight.  i have some fun pics that i will post tomorrow.  these for now.
a messy but fun work area...and at this hour, it will stay that way until morning.

a peek of things to come

just a quick pic of something that i will be using in my next project.  i think that i just like to put things in rainbow order, it seems to be a theme.  i wonder if it has something to do with my organizational personality.  this project will also more than likely take one day.  maybe i should alter my goal to having one project after another, no matter how many days they take to accomplish, and to work on them everyday for the year.  that sounds a little easier.

kids....what kind of fuckery are they??

this came from a kit that had the words printed and all i had to do was stitch.  when i got done with the stitching, i realized that you could see the working lines of my black thread through the then white fabric.  so i painted it with some pink acrylic paint to hide those pesky lines.  i like the way that the paint has slightly different coverage in different areas.  the kit also came with this cheesy cardboard frame to put it in, but that just wasn't acceptable.  so i got a cheap little white frame at target and made a mat for the frame with some scrapbook paper that i have.  much better.
it was hard to take a picture without getting the flash in it.  maybe i will tackle a little photography one day.

maybe one day i will start doing this one day after the other....

instead of taking days between doing things, and posting.  it is just difficult for me to think of things that i want to do right now.  or for that matter, things that i want to say.  so here is a little felt chickie head that i made that other night.
and after my attempt at painting the other day, i left the palettes in the sink and the made this pretty blue green color that i happily drew in after i drained the water.
